Wild Like Me Opens in Downtown Hanover with Community Ribbon Cutting

Hanover, PA – Main Street Hanover celebrated the opening of Wild Like Me, a new artisan soap business located at 131 Broadway in downtown Hanover, on Friday, October 23, with a community ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local residents, Pennsylvania Representative Kate Klunk, Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill, and members of the downtown business community.

Founded by Sierra, a stay-at-home mother and disabled veteran, Wild Like Me brings handcrafted, nature-inspired skincare products to Hanover, combining traditional craftsmanship, thoughtfully sourced ingredients, and a mission centered on authenticity, sustainability, and intentional living.
Operating under the motto “Rooted in Nature. Created with Purpose,” Wild Like Me was born from Sierra’s desire to reconnect with natural ingredients and time-honored traditions while creating products that reflect her personal values.
“I started Wild Like Me as a return to what’s real,” Sierra shared. “As a stay-at-home mother, a disabled veteran, and a woman deeply attuned to the rhythms of the earth, I felt called to create something that nourishes more than just skin.”
Wild Like Me specializes in cold-processed artisan soaps made in small batches with raw organic cow’s milk, U.S. grass-fed and grass-finished regenerative tallow, and earth-grown botanicals, many of which Sierra grows herself. The soaps are colored with herbs, clays, roots, and botanicals and scented exclusively with organic essential oils, without synthetic fragrances. The business also emphasizes ingredient transparency and sustainable, earth-conscious packaging.
For Sierra, the business represents more than skincare. It is an invitation to slow down, embrace authenticity, and reconnect with the natural world.
“The name came from a deep remembering, of who we are before the noise, before the labels, before we forgot,” Sierra explains. “Being ‘wild like me’ isn’t about rebellion. It’s about remembrance.”
The opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony marked an exciting addition to Hanover’s growing downtown business community. Main Street Hanover works to support a vibrant downtown by celebrating local entrepreneurs, encouraging community connections, and helping independent businesses establish roots in the heart of Hanover.
“Every new business brings something unique to our downtown, and we are excited to welcome Sierra and Wild Like Me to Hanover,” said Main Street Hanover Executive Director Moriah Tyler. “Wild Like Me offers a thoughtful, handcrafted approach to everyday self-care, and we are grateful to Sierra for investing in our downtown and sharing her passion with the community. We also appreciate Representative Kate Klunk and Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill joining us to celebrate this exciting milestone.”
Community members are invited to visit Wild Like Me, meet the maker, and explore the handcrafted soap collection.
