VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove Hospice Earns 2025 SHPBest™ “Superior Performer” Award
HANOVER, Pa., August 25, 2026 – VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove Hospice, a program of the VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove, has been recognized by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) as a “Superior Performer” for achieving an overall caregiver and family experience score that ranked in the top 20% of all eligible SHP clients for the 2025 calendar year.
ADDITIONAL BEST-OF-THE-BEST RECOGNITION: SHP also highlighted VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove Hospice in its 2025 CAHPS Hospice Best-of-the-Best “Consistent Excellence” recognition for receiving an SHPBest award five years in a row. The VNA was one of only six hospice providers spotlighted nationally for this five-year achievement.
The annual SHPBest™ award program was created to acknowledge hospice providers that consistently provide high quality service to families and caregivers of patients receiving hospice care. The 2025 award recipients were determined by reviewing and ranking the overall CAHPS Hospice caregiver experience score for more than 1,800 hospice providers. With one of the largest CAHPS Hospice benchmarks in the nation, SHP is in a unique position to identify and recognize organizations that have made the family and caregiver experience a priority and have been rewarded for their efforts with high marks on the CAHPS Hospice survey.
“Providing excellent patient care takes relentless effort, and our SHPBest award winners embody that every year. This program lets us recognize the organizations that never settle, that keep improving the patient and caregiver experience even when they're already performing at a high level. That kind of commitment deserves to be celebrated,” said Jason Ballet, President of SHP.
This year’s recognition continues a sustained record of excellence for the VNA’s hospice program. VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove Hospice has now earned an SHPBest award for five consecutive years, a distinction SHP specifically recognized in its 2025 Best-of-the-Best “Consistent Excellence” spotlight. Since 1980, the VNA has provided local hospice care focused on comfort, dignity, and compassionate support for patients and families throughout the end-of-life journey.
“We are incredibly proud of our hospice team, and this recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the experiences shared by the families and caregivers we are privileged to serve,” said Kevin C. Maloney, PT, President & CEO of the VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove. “Earning the Superior Performer award is an accomplishment in itself, but to be recognized for five consecutive years of SHPBest awards speaks to the consistency and heart our staff brings to this work every day. This recognition reflects what our mission is all about: delivering exceptional healthcare in the home, every day, for every patient and family we have the privilege to serve.”
