The Rise of Experience Gifting: Families Choosing Memories Over More Stuff This Christmas
Hanover, Pennsylvania - Families are shifting toward giving experiences rather than more "stuff," and the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center is offering one of the most magical gifts of the season. This spring, the Wizard of Oz comes to life in an unforgettable new way on ice.
Wizard of Oz on Ice glides into the Eichelberger on February 15th, 2026, at 3:00 PM for a one-day-only performance. There will be breathtaking skating, stunning costumes, and a heartwarming journey down the Yellow Brick Road. This year’s production features Olympian, World Medalist, and Three-Time National Champion Shaun Sawyer, performing alongside a cast of Cirque du Soleil skaters, trick skaters, and champion pair teams.
A Holiday Gift That Becomes a Memory
Families, grandparents, or anyone searching for the perfect meaningful gift this holiday season can find it at the Eich. The Wizard of Oz on Ice production revisits the classic story many grew up watching, but with a new spin. The Audience will experience Dorothy's journey with the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion, brought to life by world-renowned professional ice skaters.
"This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to see Wizard of Oz on Ice at the Eich," said David Adler, Executive Director. "It's an incredible holiday gift for families. One they will remember long after unwrapping."
