Roots for Boots to Participate in 2026 Adams County Community Foundation Giving Spree

NEW OXFORD, Pa. - Roots for Boots will participate in the 2026 Adams County Community Foundation Giving Spree on Thursday, November 5. The annual day of giving gives local community members and beyond a convenient way to support local nonprofits and direct their generosity to the organizations and causes that matter most.

Donors may give online from 12:00 a.m. through 11:59 p.m. or attend the live Giving Spree from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Wyndham Gettysburg. Supporters can designate their contribution to Roots for Boots through the official Giving Spree donation process.

Early donations are now open by dropping or mailing your gift to the Adams County Community Foundation (25 South 4th Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325) between now and November 5. Donation forms may be downloaded at ACCFGivingSpree.org. All participating nonprofits may be found there. Roots for Boots is #85.

Roots for Boots is a grassroots nonprofit serving veterans, active-duty service members, and military families, with a particular focus on rural communities. Through direct assistance, community partnerships, volunteer service, food support, and other mission-based programs, the organization addresses immediate needs while helping military families prepare for future challenges.

Giving Spree donors may select "Today" to provide immediate support to Roots for Boots or "Forever" to place their gift in the organization's endowment for annual support in future years. Event sponsors cover Giving Spree participation costs, so 100 percent of each designated gift goes to the nonprofit selected by the donor.
