Barley Snyder Welcomes Attorney Shane Brackup to Litigation and Health Care Groups
Lancaster, Pa. - Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that attorney Shane M. Brackup has joined the firm as a member of its Litigation and Health Care groups. He will be based in the firm’s Lancaster office, focusing primarily on medical malpractice defense and health care matters.
Brackup brings a broad range of litigation experience to the firm. Prior to joining Barley Snyder, he served as an Assistant District Attorney for the County of Lancaster, where he gained significant trial experience and sharpened his courtroom advocacy skills. Before that, he practiced at an international Am Law 100 firm in Philadelphia. Brackup earned his Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center and received his bachelor’s degree in public policy and history from Franklin & Marshall College.
“Joining Barley Snyder is an exciting next step in my legal career,” said Brackup. “The firm’s strong reputation, particularly in health care and litigation, closely aligns with my experience and long-term goals. I’m eager to contribute to the team and continue growing as an advocate in these dynamic fields.”
Outside the office, Brackup is deeply engaged in the Lancaster community. He actively volunteers with Beat the Streets Lancaster, a nonprofit organization that empowers youth through wrestling and mentorship.
"We are thrilled to welcome Shane to our team," said Lauralee B. Baker, partner and chair of the firm’s Health Care Industry Group. “He brings valuable courtroom experience and a thoughtful approach to litigation, which will complement the work we do for our clients across both the health care and broader litigation landscape. We’re looking forward to the contributions he’ll make as he grows his practice with us.”
