Reading, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that partner Kevin A. Moore has been appointed to the Executive Board of Scouting America Hawk Mountain Council.
Moore has been a longtime volunteer and advocate for Scouting. His service has included roles as Cubmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster and Merit Badge Counselor. For the past 20 years, he has also served as the outside employment and labor legal advisor to the Hawk Mountain Council.
“It’s an honor to continue my service to Scouting in our community, and I am grateful to join an excellent Executive Board that, along with full-time staff, serve several thousand of the youth of Berks and Schuylkill Counties through ever-changing unique Scouting programs for boys and girls,” Moore said. “Our youth need the values and leadership skills that Scouting provides more now than ever.”
In addition to his board appointment, Moore will serve as Chair of the Council’s 50th Anniversary Leadership Dinner, scheduled for February 23, 2026.
“We are honored to welcome Kevin Moore to the Executive Board of Hawk Mountain Council,” said Davis Fox, CEO and Scout Executive of Scouting America Hawk Mountain. “As a respected community leader, Kevin brings a thoughtful perspective and steady guidance that will help us grow Scouting in meaningful ways. With his support, we can continue expanding our reach and deepening our impact – positively shaping the lives of more youth across Berks and Schuylkill Counties.”
