Shining Stars Therapeutic Riding Program, Inc. Welcomes Ben Hansford as New Development Director
Shining Stars Therapeutic Riding Program, Inc. is pleased to welcome Ben Hansford as our new Development Director, marking an exciting step forward in our mission to enrich the lives of individuals through therapeutic riding. In this pivotal role, Ben will lead our fundraising and donor engagement efforts, working closely with our staff, volunteers, and community partners to strengthen financial support and expand awareness of our impactful programs. His leadership will be key in securing the resources needed to enhance our services, grow our outreach, and ensure long-term sustainability for Shining Stars.
Ben comes to Shining Stars with over twelve years of fundraising experience, including a decade working to advance preservation and education initiatives at the Gettysburg Foundation. Like everybody who supports or volunteers with Shining Stars, he was drawn to the organization because of its incredible mission to serve children, families, and veterans in our community through therapeutic horsemanship.
Ben was born, raised, and lives in Hanover and has a bachelor's degree in political science from West Chester University. He plays in and serves on the board of the Hanover Symphony Orchestra. When he's not at the farm, he enjoys traveling and hiking with his wife Ashley, playing music, attending concerts, reading about history, trying out new recipes, and cheering for his favorite sports teams.
Shining Stars' mission is to partner with horses to provide programs that improve the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social areas in the lives of the individuals we serve. We invite you to learn more about us by visiting www.ShiningStarsTR.org or calling Ben directly at (717) 451-8325.
