Newborn Babies are The Sweetest Treats at UPMC Magee-Womens on Mother’s Day
HARRISBURG, Pa., May 9, 2025 – Mother’s Day is always extra special at the labor and delivery units across UPMC Magee-Womens Hospitals. This year, the babies at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospitals in Central Pa. are getting scooped into their mother’s hearts as the hospital celebrates Mother’s Day. The theme is, “UPMC Magee’s Sweetest Treats”, where newborns are dressed in colorful pale-yellow onesies with ice cream cone hats, crocheted by UPMC volunteers.
“At UPMC Magee-Womens, we celebrate the arrival of every new baby,” said Kenneth J. Oken, M.D., chair of Obstetrics & Gynecology at UPMC Magee-Womens in Central Pa. “Every baby symbolizes love, life and hope, and we understand the deep emotions that come with welcoming a new life into the world. It is truly a joy to honor these precious moments and an immense privilege to support our families. We wish all mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day!”
