Heritage Valley Federal Credit Union and Employees Contributed $4,785 to Local York Nonprofits in 2025

York, PA – January 2026 – Heritage Valley Federal Credit Union is proud to announce that its employees, through their quarterly “Casual for a Cause” program, donated a total of $4,785 in 2025 to four local nonprofit organizations. The contributions, which include employee donations matched by the Credit Union, underscore Heritage Valley’s commitment to supporting the community.

The nonprofits selected by employees to receive donations in 2025:

  • Search 93-South Central PA Search & Rescue: 100% volunteer Search and Rescue team that was developed to help local emergency services and communities deal with lost or missing persons.
  • York County C.A.R.E Team (Child Abduction Response Effort): The response team responds to missing, endangered, and abducted children’s incidents, and enhances the safe recovery of abducted or missing and endangered children in York County by assisting local law enforcement agencies.
  • Building Bridges for Brianna: A local organization dedicated to mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
  • Not One More York: A nonprofit focused on combating the opioid epidemic and supporting those affected by substance abuse.
“Casual for a Cause” is an annual initiative where employees voluntarily contribute a portion of their paychecks to these charities, and Heritage Valley matches these donations, doubling the impact of their generosity. This program reflects the Credit Union’s culture of giving and its dedication to making a difference in the community it serves. “Our employees’ commitment to giving back is truly inspiring,” said Mike Gutshall, President & CEO at Heritage Valley FCU. “Their collective efforts make a meaningful impact, and we’re proud to support the causes that matter most to them.”
