Delone Catholic Athletics Department Enhancements to Provide Free College Recruiting Support for Student-Athletes
Delone Catholic High School announced today strategic enhancements to its Athletics Department to support student-athletes aspiring to compete at the collegiate level. Recognizing the complexity, stress, and expense often associated with the college recruiting process, the school is restructuring its resources to provide intentional guidance for students and their families at no additional cost.
The enhancements introduce dedicated advocacy and professional media support designed to connect Delone Catholic student-athletes with collegiate programs across the country.
Dedicated Recruiting Liaison
Amy Miller '05, Delone Catholic’s Assistant Director of Athletics, will now serve as a dedicated liaison between student-athletes and college coaches. In this expanded role, Miller will:
- Facilitate direct communication with collegiate programs.
- Connect student-athletes with appropriate recruiting opportunities.
- Guide families step by step through the various aspects of the college athletics pipeline.
- Serve as an active, in-house advocate for students working to compete at the next level.
Specialized Media and Promotional Support
To further elevate the visibility of Delone Catholic athletes, the school has contracted Austin McCusker '03 of McCusker Media as the new Sports Information and Media Coordinator. McCusker will provide professional promotional support, which includes:
- Creating high-quality highlight videos.
- Developing personalized athlete spotlights.
- Leveraging social media platforms to showcase student talents to college recruiters and coaches.
"These enhancements reflect our commitment to supporting the whole student and providing opportunities that help our Squires pursue their goals with confidence," said David Staub '94, P'25, P'28, Principal of Delone Catholic. "Whether a student-athlete hopes to compete at the collegiate level or simply strives to maximize their potential, we are dedicated to providing the resources and support necessary for success."
Further details regarding how student-athletes and families can access these new services will be distributed in the coming weeks.
