Barley Snyder Reelects Managing Partner Jennifer Craighead Carey for Second Term
Lancaster, Pa. - Barley Snyder is proud to announce that the firm’s partnership has reelected Jennifer Craighead Carey as its managing partner and chief executive officer for a new two-year term beginning in 2026.
First elected in 2024, Craighead Carey made history as the firm’s first female managing partner. In her role, Craighead Carey will continue to shape the firm’s strategic vision, driving growth and innovation across Barley Snyder’s offices in Pennsylvania and Maryland. Over the past two years, her leadership has strengthened the firm’s reputation for legal excellence, exceptional client service, innovation, and deep community engagement.

Craighead Carey has been with Barley Snyder for more than 30 years. She is a partner in the firm’s Employment Practice Group. Her practice centers on management-side employment law, where she represents a diverse range of clients. Beyond her legal work, Craighead Carey serves as Vice Chair of the Lancaster City Alliance board of directors and contributes her expertise to both public and private company boards.
Craighead Carey has also been recognized as one of Central Pennsylvania’s most influential legal professionals, earning a spot on the Central Penn Business Journal’s (CPBJ) 2025 Power Law List for the second consecutive year and being named to CPBJ’s 2025 Power 100 List. In addition, she was included in The Best Lawyers in America® 2026 edition for Litigation – Labor and Employment.
