Barley Snyder Partner Paul Mattaini Named Honoree in Leaders in Law by CPBJ
Lancaster, PA – Barley Snyder is proud to announce that partner Paul G. Mattaini has been named a 2026 Leaders in Law honoree in the “Dealmakers” category by the Central Penn Business Journal.
The Leaders in Law awards recognize individuals whose leadership — both in the legal profession and in the community — has had a positive impact in the region. Honorees demonstrate outstanding achievements, professional involvement and community support. The “Dealmakers” category honors corporate and transactional attorneys who “get deals done,” reflecting significant accomplishments in negotiating, structuring and closing high-impact transactions. Mattaini is the only attorney recognized in this category in 2026.
Barley Snyder maintains a sophisticated M&A practice supported by a team of attorneys with extensive transactional expertise. Through the Practice Excellence® initiative, the firm has developed a quality control program to ensure consistency and excellence in its M&A work. “While I am grateful for this individual recognition, it is really a testament to the strength, collaboration and depth of the overall M&A team at Barley Snyder,” Mattaini noted.
Mattaini concentrates his practice in mergers and acquisitions, securities, banking and business law, representing both public and private companies in complex transactions. He has been with Barley Snyder for more than 30 years and previously practiced as a partner at Devine, Millimet & Branch in Manchester, New Hampshire.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mattaini has demonstrated deep commitment to mentorship and the legal community. He previously led Barley Snyder’s Practice Excellence® initiative to enhance service quality and client value and has long championed the development of younger attorneys. In 2023, he received the Champion for Women Award from the Pennsylvania Bankers Association in recognition of his efforts to support and advance women in the banking industry. His professional excellence has also been recognized with an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell, repeated inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® for the M&A, Corporate, Securities / Capital Markets, and Banking / Finance categories (including Lawyer of the Year in both M&A and Banking & Finance law), and recognition in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers for his work in M&A.
The Leaders in Law awards ceremony will be held on May 12, 2026, at the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey Hotel, in conjunction with the Leaders in Finance awards. To view the full list of honorees, visit: https://www.cpbj.com/event/cpbj-leaders-in-law/
