Barley Snyder Expands Presence in Hanover with Addition of Long-time Attorney G. Steven McKonly
Hanover, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that G. Steven McKonly, a seasoned attorney with nearly five decades of legal experience in York County, has joined the firm’s Trusts & Estates Practice Group in its Hanover office.
McKonly has practiced law in Hanover since 1976, representing clients across a wide range of matters, including business and corporate law, municipal law, real estate transactions, and estate planning and administration. He previously ran his own solo practice for more than 30 years before joining Barley Snyder. At the firm, McKonly will focus his practice on trusts and estates planning and administration. He will help clients create comprehensive estate plans, guide families through the estate administration process, and advise on charitable giving strategies.
“Joining Barley Snyder is an exciting opportunity to continue helping families plan for the future,” said McKonly. “After more than 35 years of running my own practice, I am eager to combine my experience with Barley Snyder’s resources to provide clients with practical, personalized guidance they can rely on.”
Throughout his career, McKonly has been actively involved in the Hanover and York communities, serving in numerous leadership roles with local organizations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Hanover Hospital and participates on various boards with Homewood Living Ministries. Some of his past involvement includes serving as Board President of the York County Bar Association, Board Member of the Hanover Area YMCA, Board Member of the Hanover Public Library, and Board President of the Hanover Rotary Club.
“Steve’s extensive experience and deep roots in the Hanover community make him a great addition to our team,” said Jeremy Frey, partner in Barley Snyder’s Hanover office and member of the firm’s Management Committee. “His client-focused approach and knowledge of estate planning will enhance our ability to serve individuals and families throughout the region.”
