Barley Snyder Announces 2025 Practice Group Leadership Changes
Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder has announced leadership changes to its Business and Employment practice groups effective January 1.
Business Practice Group
Partner Daniel T. Desmond has been named chair of the firm’s Business Practice Group, replacing Jeremy D. Frey. Desmond served as vice chair of the group in 2024. With more than a decade of experience, Desmond is a business, finance and municipal attorney well-versed in mergers and acquisitions, general business law, corporate governance and other types of complex business and finance transactions. In addition to his new leadership role with the practice group, he chairs the firm’s PA Annual Report Response Team and the Corporate Transparency Act Response Team, as well as assists in the firm’s Practice Excellence® initiative.
Employment Practice Group
Partner Michael J. Crocenzi will replace Jill Sebest Welch as chair of the firm’s Employment Practice Group. Crocenzi is a member the firm’s Employment and Litigation practice groups with more than three decades of experience. He provides his clients with practical solutions for a wide variety of employment issues and helps them develop strategies to avoid or minimize risks. Recently, Crocenzi was named “Lawyer of the Year” by The Best Lawyers in America® in its 31st edition, marking the third consecutive year he has received this recognition.
