Events Coordinator

The Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce, a vital part of the Greater Hanover community since 1923, is seeking a full-time Events Coordinator to join our dynamic team.

In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in orchestrating and promoting our impactful events, including major annual signature events like the Snack Town Street Fair, popular Membership Mixers, and insightful quarterly Legislative Luncheons. The Events Coordinator will work closely with Chamber leadership, members, sponsors, vendors, and community partners to deliver high-quality events that support member engagement, organizational visibility, and economic impact in the Hanover region.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Communications, Journalism or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

· 3-5+ years’ relevant event planning and coordination experience from concept to completion

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently

· Excellent written & verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

· Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite

· 2+ years’ experience with sponsorship development or revenue generation

· Prior grant writing experience is a bonus

· Organization, deadline driven, attention to detail and self-starting character

· Ability to stand for extended periods for events and lift up to 30 pounds

The successful candidate will assist in managing event budgets, coordinate volunteers for events, build and sustain relationships with sponsors, oversee onsite event setup, execution and breakdown.
