We are seeking motivated individuals, such as a detail-oriented Civil Designer experienced in Land Development Planning and stormwater design, to join our fast-paced, community-enhancing efforts. Job Description: As a Civil Designer, you will work closely with our professional staff to assist with land development designs, stormwater designs, NPDES Permitting, and municipal approvals. Designer’s at GHI play a key role in collaborating with Clients, coordinating with local municipalities and regulatory agencies, and ensuring the timely delivery of plans and permits. Duties: Being a Civil Designer in the Land Development profession requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a good understanding of surveying and engineering principles as well as regulatory requirements. The Civil Designer’s key responsibilities will include: • Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D to develop detailed site layout plans that maximize the usable space of the project sites and are consistent with the municipal regulations, • Preparing grading plans and stormwater designs, utility networks, and profiles. • Coordinating with the Team to prepare cost effective construction plans stormwater management designs, assess constructability, review concepts, and maintain schedules. • Maintaining and refining the current library of dynamic blocks and CAD styles to continue the company’s pursuit to continuously improve plan presentation. Qualifications • College degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered. • Engineer-In-Training Certificate or Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania is preferred or the ability to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraflow, HEC-RAS, GIS, and other design software. • Located within 1 hour drive from Hanover.
