Reading New Food Labels "Lunch with the Dietitian"
After 20 years, the food label is changing. Plan to join us for a special “Lunch with the Dietitian” event to learn more about the changes on Tuesday April 18, 2017. Lunch will be from 11:15 a.m. to Noon, followed by the presentation from Noon to 1 p.m., at the York Street Medical Center, 400 York Street, Hanover, PA.
Guest speaker Denise Stamm, MS, RD, LDN, CDE, a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator at Hanover Hospital, will discuss how the new food label will help you to make better food choices, and what to look for on the label to help you control your blood sugar.
Hanover Hospital offers comprehensive Diabetes Education programs. Diabetes counseling is provided by certified diabetes educators and registered nurses and dietitians who specialize in diabetes management. The full service Diabetes Self-Management and Education Program is recognized by the American Diabetes Association.
