Safe Home/YWCA of Hanover: Serving victims of domestic/dating violence and their children in York and Adams Counties since 1981, we are a program of the YWCA of Hanover, a nonprofit United Way agency. We offer a 24 hour hotline, emergency housing, legal & medical advocacy, crisis intervention, transportation, support group w/ free childcare, counseling for adults and children, referrals, community outreach & education, and volunteer training.
Material Needs:
Grocery cards/certificates, Gas cards, and Fuel/utility certificates
Dead bolt locks and Peep holes
Double AA batteries
Non-perishable food items
Paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, tissues)
Garbage bags (large)
Cleaning supplies & Laundry detergent
Phone/Calling cards
Diapers size 3 and larger
Pull-ups (boys and girls)
Baby supplies/toiletries (wipes, lotion, shampoo, etc.)
New children’s clothing (all ages)
New backpacks for students
Financial Donations help us offer shelter, child therapy & other critical services:
