FREE, FAMILY-FRIENDLY EVENT!
Artists may arrive to complete their art anytime between 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. All art must be completed by 3 p.m. Judging will be broken into six groups: Ages 5 and under, Ages 6 – 9, Ages 10 – 13, Ages 14 - high school senior, Adult and Family/Group. Recognitions and awards will be announced at 4 p.m. Participants do not need to be present to win.
Each participant will be given an assigned square of sidewalk, chalk and time to convert concrete into temporary art. Sidewalk spaces are approx. 4 ft x 4 ft; more than 130 spaces are available. Artists may use any or all of the space. Participants can find their assigned space at the registration table, located in the Fountain Quadrant of Center Square, Hanover (northwest quadrant) the morning of the event.

Featuring World-Renowned Artist Michael William Kirby
Michael William Kirby is a leading public artist and street painter from Baltimore, MD. In addition to leading various school workshops, Kirby will create one of his own masterpieces during Chalk it Up Hanover!
