$99 and Under Sale and Student Artwork Exhibit
Art Downtown is sharing art with more people in July with its $99 and Under Sale and an exhibit showcasing student artwork.
Art Downtown, the gallery of the Hanover Area Arts Guild, at 32 Carlisle St., in historic Hanover, will offer artwork from more than 200 members at $99 and under this July.
“It’s a chance to buy and collect really great art at reasonable prices,” said Kim Asper, president of the Arts Guild. “You can support local artists, but you also can get great art — paintings, three-D pieces, jewelry, fabric art, photography. Art Downtown has a wide variety of pieces.”
The sale begins July 5 and continues through the end of the month. Members price their own work, Asper explained. The members are local; they live and work in Hanover and York County; Adams County; and northern Maryland. More than 200 artists belong to the Arts Guild.
Also during July, artwork by students who have taken classes or workshops at the Arts Guild will be displayed throughout the gallery at Art Downtown.
