3rd Annual Kids Rock 2013
The Children’s Home of York’s presents the 3rd Annual Kids Rock 2013 presented by Business Information Group. Proceeds benefit all Children’s Home of York programs.
Kids Rock fuses a traditional fundraising special event with a video game competition. Pre-selected “bands” battle to determine who is the best of an 1980s-themed Rock Band™ competition. Each “band” will perform one 1980s-era song along with the Rock Band™ video game. There will be winners in two categories – highest percentage of accuracy according to the game and the People’s Choice Winner. Attendees will have the opportunity to buy votes throughout the evening to select their favorite “band.” This year’s performers include a group from BIG (1st place in the 2011 competition), a group of attorneys from CGA Law Firm (1st place in the 2012 competition), Children’s Home staff, and others.
The evening includes additional music, silent and live auctions, hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine and soft drinks. This year’s auctions feature a variety of items – everything from restaurant gift certificates to jewelry to themed parties.
