The Manufacturers' Association Welcomes New Board Member Greg Dubin and Reelects Oliver Hoar

York, PA, June 17, 2024 – The Manufacturers' Association announced the new election of Greg Dubin and the re-election of Oliver Hoar to its Board of Directors at the June 5th Board Meeting. The Association recently celebrated its 118th anniversary as the regional manufacturing trade organization for central Pennsylvania.

Greg Dubin is currently serving as the Executive Vice President of Strategy at Daisy Data Displays, a role he has held since 2019. Daisy Data Displays is located in Mechanicsburg and is a manufacturer of ruggedized computers and monitors engineered for the world’s toughest environments. Their technology enables reliable computing for critical sectors including energy, defense, aerospace, life sciences and manufacturing. Before his tenure at Daisy Data Displays, Greg was the CEO and Co-Founder of LocalStove, a corporate catering platform that was acquired by Hungry Marketplace. He began his career consulting on strategy for the US Department of Defense, foreign governments, and multinational companies. Greg holds an MBA in Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Communication from George Washington University. He also studied Middle Eastern Studies at Tel Aviv University.

"We are thrilled to welcome Greg Dubin to our Board of Directors," said Tom Palisin, Executive Director of the Manufacturers' Association. "Greg's extensive experience and proven track record in business strategy and operations will be invaluable as we continue to support the growth and success of our association and for our member companies."

Oliver Hoar, Owner of Hoar Investments, York County, was reappointed to a second term on the Board. Prior to his current role, Mr. Hoar served as the President and CEO from 2012 to 2017 at RH Sheppard, located in Hanover, which is a leading manufacturer of steering technologies for commercial vehicles for over 80 years. Oliver facilitated the $145 million sale of Sheppard to WABCO to support its advancement to self-driving or “autonomous” commercial technologies. After leaving RH Sheppard he formed the investment group Hoar Investments and built a portfolio in the industrial sector in southcentral PA – helping to advance local manufacturing.

Oliver Hoar graduated with a B.A. from Washington & Lee University and worked at various companies in corporate finance, equity research, and asset management prior to joining R.H. Sheppard in 2002. In 2012, Oliver became the third President in R.H. Sheppard’s history.

The addition of Greg Dubin and the continuation of Oliver Hoar’s role on the Board are vital to the Association as it strives to enhance its services and advocacy for the manufacturing sector. The Association is in the midst of implementing a $6.1 million investment by the US Department of Defense, the largest federal investment in workforce in the region’s history, to grow the defense industry and it’s workforce in central PA.
