Main Street Hanover Awarded Google Ad Grant to Amplify Digital Outreach

Hanover, PA – Main Street Hanover is proud to announce its acceptance into the Google Ad Grants program, receiving up to $10,000 each month in in-kind advertising credits to promote its mission and the vibrancy of downtown Hanover.
This award provides Main Street Hanover with monthly advertising credits for Google Search ads, enabling the nonprofit to reach new audiences, highlight local businesses, and drive traffic to its website through targeted, text-based digital campaigns.
“We are so excited to be accepted into this program by Google,” said Moriah Tyler, Executive Director of Main Street Hanover. “This opportunity allows us to shine a spotlight on all of the incredible businesses featured in our online directory and to promote the various programs and events that make downtown Hanover a thriving destination for residents and visitors alike.”
The Google Ad Grants program supports eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations by providing free advertising on Google Search. These grants help nonprofits increase their online visibility, raise awareness for their causes, and connect with supporters. Organizations that qualify must maintain a high-quality website, actively manage their campaigns, and comply with Google’s policies.
As a small nonprofit, Main Street Hanover is uniquely positioned to benefit from the program by leveraging location-specific keywords to attract local and regional visitors. Google Ads prioritizes relevancy, meaning even small organizations can outperform larger ones in search rankings when ads are well-targeted and optimized.
This grant is part of the broader Google for Nonprofits program, which offers a suite of tools including Google Workspace for Nonprofits and the YouTube Nonprofit Program, designed to help nonprofits operate more efficiently and tell their stories more effectively.
