Heritage Valley Federal Credit Union Celebrates 90 Years of Serving South Central PA
York, PA — April 22, 2025 — Heritage Valley Federal Credit Union, the oldest credit union in York County, proudly commemorates its 90th anniversary with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a month-long celebration honoring its distinguished legacy and unwavering commitment to its members and the community.
The commemorative ribbon-cutting event will be held at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Heritage Valley’s headquarters, located at 2400 Pleasant Valley Road, York, PA 17402. Hosted in collaboration with the York County Economic Alliance, the ceremony will reflect on the credit union’s journey from its inception to becoming a sound financial cooperative in the region. In addition to the ribbon-cutting, Heritage Valley will host birthday celebrations across all branches and has been offering exclusive member specials throughout April. These initiatives underscore Heritage Valley’s dedication to providing superior value and appreciation to its members.
Founded on April 29, 1935, as the YORKCO York Employees Federal Credit Union, Heritage Valley began as a small financial cooperative serving employees of York Ice Machinery Corporation. Over the decades, the credit union evolved, adopting the name Heritage Valley Federal Credit Union to better represent its expanding community membership and deep roots to the Susquehanna Valley. Today, Heritage Valley serves individuals who live, work, worship, or attend school in York, Adams, Cumberland, and Dauphin counties.
