Lighthouse 153 Brings Coastal-Inspired Cuisine and Craft Beer to Downtown Hanover

Hanover, PA – Downtown Hanover welcomes a new culinary destination with the opening of Lighthouse 153, a family-owned coastal restaurant and craft brewery located at 34 Broadway in downtown Hanover.
Founded by husband-and-wife team Jessica and Matthew Krumrine, Lighthouse 153 brings together fresh seafood, handcrafted cocktails, house-brewed beer, and a welcoming atmosphere designed to make every guest feel like they have escaped to the coast.
The Krumrines’ journey began with a food truck serving coastal-inspired favorites. Their growing following eventually led to Lighthouse 153 at Franklin Street Social in Red Lion, where dishes including lobster rolls, crab cakes, seafood baskets, and other house-made specialties developed a loyal customer base.
Now, the couple has brought their vision to downtown Hanover with a full-service restaurant and an in-house craft brewery.
“We wanted to create a place where people could relax, laugh, eat incredible food, and make memories,” said Jessica and Matthew Krumrine. “Lighthouse 153 is about more than just a meal. It’s about the experience, the hospitality, and bringing people together.”
While seafood is at the heart of the menu, Lighthouse 153 is more than a brewery. Guests can enjoy a variety of coastal-inspired dishes alongside craft beer brewed on-site, handcrafted cocktails, and a relaxed dining experience.
The restaurant’s name has a special meaning for the Krumrines. Lighthouse 153 is inspired by the biblical story in John 21, in which the disciples catch 153 fish after following Jesus’ direction. For the Krumrines, the number represents abundance, gratitude, and the joy of sharing a meal together.
“We hope Lighthouse 153 becomes a place where everyone feels welcome,” the Krumrines said. “Whether you’re stopping in for a lobster roll, enjoying one of our beers, or gathering with family and friends, we want you to feel like you’re part of our story.”
The opening of Lighthouse 153 adds another unique dining and entertainment destination to Hanover’s growing downtown restaurant scene and creates another reason for residents and visitors to spend time downtown.
“Lighthouse 153 is a wonderful addition to downtown Hanover,” said Moriah Tyler, Executive Director of Main Street Hanover. “Jessica and Matthew have created something truly unique by combining a coastal seafood destination with their own craft brewery. We’re excited to welcome them to downtown and look forward to seeing their business continue to grow as part of our community.”
