Furs by Susan Celebrates February 2026 with “Share Your Love” Community Giving Event

Hanover, PA — This February, Furs by Susan invites the community to celebrate love in its most meaningful form—giving back. The locally owned boutique is proud to host its annual “Share Your Love” Event, continuing a tradition of generosity that has supported local non-profits since 2013.

Throughout February, customers who bring 12 non-perishable food items will receive 40% off their purchase*. All donated food items will benefit local organizations working to provide food to citizens with limited access.
The promotion applies to a wide selection of merchandise, including outerwear, ladies’ clothing, scarves, handbags, gloves, hats, and jewelry. In addition to its signature outerwear, Furs by Susan now carries several lines of women’s clothing, with new Spring collections arriving in March.
Furs by Susan also offers a full range of professional services, including coat storage, cleaning, alterations, repairs, and monogramming, making it a one-stop destination for both fashion and care.
“It’s incredible to see our downtown businesses give back to their community in such strong and consistent ways,” said Moriah Tyler, Executive Director. “Furs by Susan is a shining example of how local businesses can make a real difference—supporting neighbors in need while continuing to invest in the heart of our downtown.”
Located in Historic Downtown Hanover, Furs by Susan has long been known as a friend of the community. Owner Debra Markle, a York County native, has built a store where customers feel like family. “You are a stranger here only once,” Debra often says—a philosophy reflected in the welcoming atmosphere and personalized service her team provides.
Debra is deeply involved in local charitable efforts and community organizations, including Trinity United Church of Christ and the Hanover Area Historical Society. Through fashion shows and fundraising initiatives, Furs by Susan has supported organizations such as the YWCA, YMCA, Breast Cancer Awareness groups, Domestic Violence services, and Homestead at Plum Creek. The business also supports music, arts, and entertainment venues across Adams, Franklin, Lancaster, and York Counties in Pennsylvania, as well as Carroll and Baltimore Counties in Maryland.
