Delone Catholic High School Unveils Timeless Excellence Strategic Plan

MCSHERRYSTOWN, Pa. — Delone Catholic High School is officially turning the page to its next chapter. Today, the school announced its new strategic plan, Timeless Excellence: Our Next Chapter, a vision that honors the school’s decades-long history while modernizing the student experience for a rapidly changing world.
The plan is the result of an intensive, community-wide effort involving teachers, parents, alumni, and local leaders. To ensure a professional and sustainable roadmap, Delone Catholic collaborated with Partners in Mission, a premier consulting firm specializing in Catholic school advancement and strategic planning. Together, they have crafted a path that bridges the gap between the school’s deep spiritual roots and the practical, modern skills students need to thrive in today’s workforce—all through a lens of ethical service and leadership.
"As a graduate and a current parent, my connection to Delone Catholic is deeply personal. I see the value of this school through the eyes of an alumnus, but also in the daily lives of my own children," said Principal David Staub '94, P'25, P'28. "This plan isn't just a document on a shelf; it’s our commitment to making sure every student has the tools they need to succeed. Whether they are heading to a four-year university or straight into the trades, we want our graduates to be the kind of leaders the world needs—skilled, hardworking, and grounded in faith."
The strategic plan also places a major emphasis on the physical campus, ensuring that the school’s environment matches the caliber of its students.
"This plan is a promise to our families that Delone Catholic will remain a leader in education for another eighty years and beyond," said School Board President Travis Kopp '91, P'21, P'23. "By modernizing our facilities and aligning our classes with what’s actually happening in the professional world, we are honoring our traditions while being aggressive about our future. We are building a space where every student can truly find their path."
Highlights of the “Timeless Excellence” plan include:
-
Academic Innovation & the Trades | A major focus on modernizing the curriculum with specialized tracks for business and the trades. By partnering with local industry leaders, the school will provide students with the technical skills and entrepreneurial mindset needed for the modern economy.
-
Modernized Facilities & Tech | Significant upgrades to the campus "bones," including high-speed tech infrastructure to support digital learning and a revitalization of extracurricular spaces for athletes, artists, and student clubs.
-
Ethical Leadership | Integrating integrity and servant leadership into every classroom, ensuring students leave Delone Catholic as ethical decision-makers.
-
Spiritual Vitality | Deepening the school’s Catholic identity through campus ministry and real-world opportunities for students to live out the Gospel.
-
Long-Term Sustainability | Ensuring the school remains affordable and accessible through smart enrollment and new advancement initiatives.
