Barley Snyder Welcomes Attorney Thomas Platts to York Office
York, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce attorney Thomas T. Platts has recently joined the firm in its York office. He is the newest addition to Barley Snyder’s Business and Real Estate practice groups.
Platts, a York County Native, comes to Barley with a passion for business and commercial law. He earned his Juris Doctor from Penn State Law, where he gained valuable experience working as an associate at the Penn State Law Entrepreneurship Clinic. In this role, he assisted entrepreneurs and business owners with contract drafting, business formations and legal research. He also served as a mentor to junior clinic associates.
Before law school, Platts attended Temple University where he graduated magna cum laude in just three years. During his collegiate career, he balanced academics, part-time jobs and volunteer work in addition to being recognized with the 2020 American Kinesiology Association Scholar Award. Platts is also a proud graduate of York Suburban High School.
"I'm honored to join Barley Snyder's hardworking and skilled team. Beginning my professional legal career in my hometown, at the firm's York office, feels particularly special,” said Platts. “I look forward to contributing to Barley's record of success on behalf of the firm's clients."
Active in his community, Platts serves as a member of the York Suburban Communities that Care Alumni Board and volunteers for the Catholic Harvest Food Pantry, a non-profit organization providing food and personal hygiene items to those in need in the greater York community. He is also a member of the White Rose Pickleball Association.
“We’re thrilled to have Tom join our team,” said partner Paul Minnich. “His educational experiences and strong commitment to serving the community align perfectly with the values we uphold at Barley Snyder. He will be a valuable asset to our clients and our firm in the York market and beyond.”
