Barley Snyder Attorney Jennifer Carter Named to Pennsylvania Bar Association Bar Leadership Institute Class 2026-27
York, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that that attorney Jennifer P. Carter has been selected to participate in the Pennsylvania Bar Association's (PBA) Bar Leadership Institute (BLI) Class of 2026-27.
The Bar Leadership Institute is a yearlong program designed to cultivate future leaders of Pennsylvania's legal profession. The program provides participants with an immersive introduction to the PBA's governance structure, leadership opportunities and the work of the association. Through educational programming, mentorship and networking opportunities, participants gain valuable insight into bar association leadership while building relationships with attorneys from across the commonwealth.
"I am honored to have been selected for the Bar Leadership Institute and look forward to learning from respected legal leaders across Pennsylvania," Carter said. "The opportunity to build meaningful relationships with attorneys from throughout the state while gaining a deeper understanding of bar leadership and service will be invaluable as I continue to grow professionally and contribute to the legal community."
Carter is a member of Barley Snyder's Litigation Practice Group and also works with its Employment and Land Use teams. She represents businesses, property owners and other clients in a broad range of civil litigation matters. Carter has extensive experience handling high-exposure litigation matters, including complex personal injury, premises liability, insurance defense, industrial disasters, construction disputes and commercial litigation.
As part of the program, Carter will participate in several PBA leadership events throughout the year, including the Young Lawyers Summer Summit, PBA governance meetings and the Conference of County Bar Leaders. The program is designed to strengthen leadership skills while fostering relationships between the PBA, local bar associations and future leaders of the profession.
"Jennifer's selection to the Bar Leadership Institute is a well-deserved achievement," said Justin A. Tomevi, partner in Barley Snyder's York office. "We congratulate her on this opportunity and look forward to seeing her benefit from the professional relationships, leadership development and experiences the program provides."
