Add your creativity to the colorful canvas of Downtown Hanover during our Summer Celebration on 2nd Saturday! We’re inviting artists of all ages and skill levels to take part in a vibrant Chalk Art Showcase, transforming our sidewalks into a lively display of imagination, joy, and community spirit. Or bask in iconic summer blockbusters by catching one of three screenings of Jaws (1975) at the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center, the perfect way to celebrate the end of summer. Jaws (1975) Film Screenings Tickets are $7 and can be purchased online or at the door at The Eichelberger Performing Arts Center Film Description: An enormous great white shark terrorizes a summer resort town, where a police chief, a grizzled fisherman and an intrepid marine biologist realize they’re “gonna need a bigger boat” to battle the bloodthirsty beast. An Oscar winner for sound, editing and John Williams’ score. Screening Times: 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM Screenings are at the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center located at 195 Stock, Hanover, PA 17331. Chalk Art Showcase Registration & Rules Time: 11:00 am-2:00 pm Registration Fee: Pay what you can, donation suggestion is $5 Standard chalk supplies are included with your registration. You’re welcome to bring your own supplies if you prefer. Check-in at the Main Street tent located outside Clark’s Bostonian Outlet on the Square to receive your supplies. You can show up anytime between 11:00am and 2:00pm to check-in and get your supplies. Rules & Guidelines: Keep It Positive – Artwork should be bright, uplifting, and family-friendly. No Hate or Explicit Content – Any imagery deemed inappropriate, hateful, or explicit will be removed. Respect Your Space – Please stay within your assigned area and avoid interfering with other artists. Be Considerate – No blocking walkways or entrances. All Ages Welcome – Participants of all ages are encouraged to join! Anyone 17 or younger must be accompanied by an adult or guardian. Have Fun! – Let your creativity shine and help transform the sidewalks into a colorful, inspiring space! Event Goal: To fill the sidewalks with bright, positive, and uplifting artwork that brings joy to our community. Weather Policy: In case of bad weather, the chalk art portion will be rescheduled.
